Criminal Defense Attorney 678-407-9300

Question: My brother was recently arrested for felony shoplifting. He was already on probation in three other jurisdictions (1) burglary (2) shoplifting (3) poss. of marijuana. Is it possible to ask for a sentence of three years in prison (the longest of the remaining probation) and take care of all these probation sentences, including this new charge? If so, does he ask something like this from his probation officer where he is held now? Do p.o.'s from other jurisdictions communicate with one another in situations like this? Any advice or direction would be appreciated. Thanks.

Answer: He will not be coordinating the effort. He needs an attorney to put together a global plea.
