Criminal Defense Attorney 678-407-9300

Question: I live in Clayton County, Ga and i was falsely arrested last year after a "friend" dooped me one night into accepting a counterfeit $20 bill. The following morning in court, I was judged innocent and released. A year later I do a criminal background check on myself, to find the charge stated on my record. Why is this? What can i do to have it removed from public records? This may be a huge reason I am unable to find work.

Answer: If the charge was dismissed, you need to retain an attorney, in order for the attorney to file for an expungement of the arrest. It is a somewhat complex process, involving a lawsuit against the law enforcement agency, but it will result in the arrest coming off of your record.
